I finally arrived in Boston where I’ll spend the next 5 weeks. On the flight, I’ve study most of the Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People. Which is definitely an inspiring piece on how to interact and socialize in a civilized way. I’ll recommend this book to anyone who is contemplating how to balance the temperature of interactions with others, whether they should be a bit tougher and stand firm on their positions or be softer and try to avoid conflicts as much as possible.
This book provides a solid argument on why the latter is better. Most of time I’m tougher on my position, so this books inspired me a lot.
One last information I want to give you, dear reader, is to imagine you are running a marathon in a forest. You might encounter lots of obstacles. you could “man up” and chop down the woods, swim over a lake, or take any shortest way that seems logically the best. or you could always bypass it and take the long way but eventually keep everything in place and even get to the destination even faster. This book takes a good point psychologically and example on how you should avoid any kind of conflict with great empathy for others.

Flights to Boston
After 9 hours of waiting in Korea, finally got on a flight to Boston. The clouds scene on the fight is more gorgeous than any trip I have taken before. the sea and the city make me think a lot.

City scene before landing

For some people, the State is their home. and Taiwan(where I came from) is an island for vacation. For me and my friend, this is a land with the unknown. A huge unknown.
We came here with different kinds of expectations, curiosity, and frightened. Wishing out a new life here is better than we used to.
There are some random pictures of my first day in Boston 🙂 Sleeping a lot today haha.
CitizenM is a really interesting and detailed hotel brand. I must say, I’m obseesed.

It has a sense of ritual to start the first day with a nice view of the city.
Walk around the city and visit the famous “The Daily Catch” nearby. it is delicious and the store feels wonderful. It is a great choice to live in uptown.

We have stuffed calamari and black pasta 🙂 that lobster is not ours lol.
That’s it. tiny wrap up of my first day in Boston.
