One another exciting day in Berklee, I met a lot of people that I already had a hard time tracking.
Morning practicing from 7 am to 9 am met some morning practice crew in the practice room.
Some of them I met yesterday, and I started to take selfie with the people I met several times 🙂
There are so many names and I have a hard time remembering them. ah!
I met Grace on the way to the Audition, and we end up chatting and running into each other whole day! She’s from London, got a really interested England elegant.
My placement audition went really well, I felt very calm when I played Mike Stern’s Little Shoes. I appreciate the lot that NTU Rock Club gives me the experience to have a show with this song, gives me the opportunity to be well-practiced and memorize the whole solo.
I’m also very lucky to audition with Professor Neil, who is also really into Mike Stern’s. He spotted my solo and instantly knew that I transcribed WHOLE Mike Stern’s solo, and said he’d place me into the best class, and give all the good stuff.
I’M EXCITED!!
After the audition, I head out to the optional audition. I really like the vibe in the salsa audition. I want to get in SO BAD. Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience in salsa so they can’t have me. I hope I can have some time to practice and immersed in salsa in the future.
Not just students, I’ve met some really nice staff. One named Cindy, from China, and one named Mikella. they both helped me more than they should, and were very friendly to me which I’m so glad and appreciate.
After all the auditions, I’m EXAUSTED. but there are several jam sessions going on at night. I take a quick 20-minute nap and head out for dinner, then Jam Session!
I went to the fusion and jazz jam session, tbh I enjoyed the jazz jam session more. I feel the energy is more chill and people are SERIOUS about their improv which really impressed me.

After Jam Session on the way back to the dorm, I met some new friends: Milla, Daniela, Sally, Sherdyl(met her first in the early morning practice), Spencer, Juliana, Alondro(met her first at the salsa audition), Diego, Ian, etc. to many people to check out.
that’s it! I fall asleep immediately after I get back to the dorm..
