Morning Practice a little. runinng some squence and practice on blue bossa. from today going
Today is mostly orientation schedule, having some interesting theory with Professor Lissance, Professor Greenblatt, etc.
Catching some food in the caf with Grace today. It looks good and it’s “okay”. Taiwanese food is so good that American food has no chance to make me feel tasty.

Performance Perspectives has invited Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, and Kenny Aronoff. Bring out a group of 1 drum, 2 bass! they went insane in their solo and went into their zone. The performance is wonderful.

after that I finally success in finding a room and jam with Teresa, Diego, and some people that I pick up on the way.

I’m glad I finally have the courage to ask people to jam with me. met so many great jazz players here I feel I’m just stumbling into others’ ways lol.
this jam session is fun! but I feel we all played our own stuff and didn’t really listen to others. it’s something we definitely could work on. looking forward to see us gradually get into place. and hope to record something real soon.
After a hour short jam, I go grab some food and check out the singer-songwriter open mic. seems like they are all performing their own piece and covers! so different with a jam session. the audience is a little bit noisy, feel like people are treating this open mic as a “club” thing to hang with people
I’m lucky to coincedently catch loo-ci’s performance! who i met yesterday. love her performance, she really catch the audience soooo much.
later at night, got some fun jam with aonther group of people. forget to take photo!! shoot. I play with Jack and a drummer that i have hard time pronounce his name. going to ask him next time i meet him.
some short clips of others playing!
that’s it! after this I go take a shower and sleep. Got morning practice tomorrow.
Good night.
