After dealing with the car crash all night, we finally managed to get a bit of sleep and woke up late. First thing in the morning, I contacted Sixt about getting a replacement car. The response? Absolutely unhelpful. The operator suggested waiting for our damaged car to be repaired, which could take days, or driving 200 kilometers to Phoenix to pick up another car. After an hour of pushing, they finally agreed to cover our Uber from Flagstaff to Vegas! With five of us and all our luggage, we needed an XL, of course.

Before setting off, we ordered sushi from UberEats and enjoyed lunch at the Holiday Inn. It felt good to finally sit down and eat something properly.
(And some card game while playing :P)

Exploring Vegas Again
Tonight’s hotel was the Flamingo, a budget-friendly spot right in the heart of the city. From the window, we could see the High Roller Ferris Wheel and that giant emoji ball! On our way to dinner, we wandered through the hotel and, to our surprise, there were live flamingos inside. Vegas hotels never fail to surprise.

As we strolled through the city, a beautiful pink sunset painted the sky. Every corner of Vegas has its own unique magic—it’s like each part of the city tells a different story.

Pizza and Vibes
We headed to the pizza spot on the other side of Vegas, an area we hadn’t explored yet. Sitting outside, you could really soak in the city’s atmosphere. Yachun was right—there’s something about being outdoors that lets you feel the vibe of a place more deeply. We continued our tradition of playing board games at random spots. There’s something funny about saying, “We played board games at a Vegas restaurant.”

The pizza was amazing, and as we sat on the street, we watched the people go by. Above us, thrill-seekers flew by on zip lines. It was the perfect mix of chaotic and magical.
Cirque du Soleil’s O Show
After dinner, we headed to the Bellagio to watch O by Cirque du Soleil, a show we’d been excited about for a while. Tickets were pricey (NT$6,000!), but it was something we couldn’t miss. Walking into the theater, the grandeur of it hit immediately. The sculptures and art dedicated to the show set the tone for what was about to be a breathtaking experience.

The performance itself? Stunning. There were jaw-dropping fire performances and water displays, but what struck me the most was the sheer perfection of everything. Coming fresh off a car crash, seeing such precision and beauty on stage brought me to tears. It made me reflect on how much time I’ve wasted indulging in distractions like games and other temptations instead of pursuing creativity and excellence. The show reminded me of the beauty we’re capable of creating when we put in the effort.
I couldn’t take photos inside the theater, but here’s a glimpse of the trailer:
Some photo before and after the show.

I was so glad to share this moment with Yachun and Yichen. I know I’ll be back to see O again in the future.
Nightclub and Strange Sparks
After the show, we hit a nightclub, but to be honest, it wasn’t that great. It was free though, so we treated it as a “let’s see” kind of thing. Some of the people with us had fun time adjusting to the club vibes, which made the night interesting.

Oh, and there was a funny twist: every time Yachun and I touched, we got shocked by static electricity! It became a game, like, “Let’s see if it happens again,” and sure enough—zap! Vegas truly keeps you on your toes in every way possible.
This day was a rollercoaster, from dealing with the aftermath of the crash to experiencing the magic of O. Vegas has a way of blending chaos and beauty into something unforgettable.
