These two days I have been watching Dan Koe’s video when I’m resting. His video has no BS and really inspiring. Logic makes sense, it’s not some BS motivation video.
Guitar practice at day time, video edit at night time. Today there is remarkable progress.
Something I learned today
- Guitar Progress: use distortion, set as more mid-tone, a little bass, and kill most treble, it creates a really warm but high gain sound!! very cool and comfortable tone.
- Guitar Progress: My picking skills have significantly improved! I’ve dedicated the past few days to practicing faster picking techniques, focusing more on my right hand. I’m gaining better control over my picking.
- Video Editing: This Bangkok video is not valuable to spend too much time so I’m speeding up, dumping clips that I like, and also dumping useful information on it. The progress feels great! I’m working more efficiently, avoiding the pitfall of perfectionism while still maintaining quality.
Notes for myself.
- Research the differences in video editing between slow music and fast music.
- Next video plan first. find a reference. and plan the music upfront.
- start to create short-form content on Instagram, and prepare for future collab (so I can edit as little as possible and focus on music.)
