Day 74. Attending Social Movement, Keep Practicing Walking bass

Recently Taiwan had a social movement that against the laws of contempt of Congress. Taiwan’s version of the law has too many flaws and the proposal process is highly faulty.

I didn’t really understand the details, I’m here to learn. Also oberseve what a musician can do in this kind of event.

I have come to these conclusions,

• Having a show on the side to entertain the crowds.
• Playing backing for the host. most of the time I feel there can be some music in the background. Those contents will be more persuasive and not boring.
• Similar mind gathers, there are lots of collaborate opportunities on the site
• the topic is urgent and emotional.

Practice on fundamental

I was blown up on Wednesday, witnessing how the players’ improvisation from the jazz club can be interesting, and the bass player can play anything he heard, I felt excited and fell behind.

These two days I have been practicing walking bass so I could hear chords better and reviewing arpeggio through it.

Also, spend some time just transcribing different improvisations from standards

What I’ve Done Today

Hate to say, still falling behind on my brand. Haven’t build a good system to keep going. this is something to reflect for.
