Day 84. FKJ Concert, Picking Myself Back Peice by Piece.

Went to the Concert of FKJ, one of my favorite contemporary artists. He loops and programmed his song mostly. so there aren’t lots of chord changes but he uses melody to build up and create something between cool jazz or modal jazz? It reminds me of Miles Davis “So What”, when people are chasing complex bebop lines, he creates something simple yet impactful.

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m in horrible shape now. I feel chaos inside me and my heartbeat consistently goes fast. I don’t know where to go, what to pursue, and what I want to become. I’m totally lost.

this show has definitely reset my inside tuning. the audiences are all crazy gorgeous and Interestingly have a consistent vibe. They are the people I love to be with in a normal live. people pursuit aesthetic and genuine live.

I feel I spend too much time looking at bad things. like those who cheat and succeed, who get laid a lot in clubs. Like Nietzsche once said, “When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks into you.”

I may been eaten with those darknss.

What I’ve Learned in this Concert

  • Soul-Cleansing Power of Music: FKJ’s music reminded me of the pure joy and emotion that music can bring.
  • Elegance of the Audience: The concert-goers were elegant and confident, representing the type of people I want to connect with in my future projects.
  • Impact of Lighting and Sound: The stunning lighting, sound, and visuals reinforced the importance of well-designed sensory elements in creating a powerful experience. This is also why I want to be “Good”, to collaborate with different artist.
  • Meeting Inspirations: Seeing familiar faces and the music-making process emphasized the importance of simplifying my life and focusing on creating music.
  • Personal Grooming Reflection: Observing the stylish audience made me realize the need to take better care of my appearance.
  • Organizing Life for Creativity: The experience inspired me to declutter my life, remove unnecessary relationships, and design my living space to foster creativity and music practice.
