sell a bunch of stuff today, about to leave this place need to speed up my cleaning and selling process.
Stucked, but another step.
still feel very stressed about not knowing what to work on. randomly jam for a bit and I feel my melody sucks.
after stressing out and not working on anything for several hours, and calm down and start analyzing the song I like, making notes, and thinking about how to recreate, and what to learn. when the goal is set, everything speeds up really fast.
still in a really slow progress on my music journey today.
buildspace s5 kickoff
the buildspace kickoff event is there!
tbh, I just randomly ran into their reels and just sign up to experience the whole event’s user experience. But the more I get involved, the more I love this event and brand. Not to mention the smoothness of the process, I love their vision to make people create the things they loved.

This presentation is interesting and got my full attention. let me break down the structure of this kickoff
0. At first, they release very little, all you know is “spending 6 weeks of nights and weekends to do something you truly love.”
- very cool first-person view of Farza’s entrance
- chill chat
- opening: “You guys all came across this random brand, random event, we don’t even say much but you came. LOL” (they really got a bunch of humor)
- farza’s introducing himself
- talking about, great things is also came from a simple idea from a simple person. (17 years old pre malons video)
- their two products: a yearly movement called Night and Weekends. and sage.
- his starting project, mood.gg which is a playlist for League of Legends.
- buildspace one-liner: “This is six weeks where you take your idea from nothing to something.”
- examples of s4 product. “you can do a lot with little”
- sharing irl event for finisher
- weeks progress:
w1: ideas.
w2: build a toy.
w3: getting others to care.
w4: iterating with others.
w5: how to grow your work
w6: the perfect demo. - every Tue and Thursday. a lecture and a lab.
- talking about no exclusive groups, no slack or discord. most of the time you just need to do your work.

15. estimate time spend. 6-10hr a week. and some examples
16. the weekly update. the only requirement of this project
17. I really like this quote: you’ll meet each other in the wild (maybe by sage’s help?)
by doing the work, you attract the right people. (story about him and Sharif)

really like this part!
18. INTORDUCING SAGE! an AI for finding same minded people.
19. introducing the Grants
20. irl event rules and camp
21. introducing 4 houses
22. graduation, a 1 day pass to HQ
23. Always there for graduates.
24. introducing a campus for 100.
25. buildspace os. countdown and assets for demo day.
26. Their OST.
okay, sum up for the buildspace universe.
buildspace universe structure
- Motivation kick-off
- Do work, and give updates each week
- Sage. place to find people or be found.
- Grants: for people that do work consistently and publicly. several $100-$500 for up to 100 people. a $5000 winner at the end of the season.
- Email: the main communication place.
- Demo Day, the grand show of the work.
- IRL event
- a 3-month camp for 100 people

a little critic
- the wallpaper looks sucks on my phone

- I don’t like the OST. I feel there isn’t any soul in it. I believe no true analog musician is participating in this song.
goal and rules for this game.
- keep producing work and gain publicity. it’s your portfolio.
- working on Sage’s page. thinking from the perspective of what kind of people you want to attract. make sure their keywords can find you. (sage SEO XD)
- be consistent and plan out your work with weekly updates. → you should have weekly progress so the update can be legit af.
- prepare for the demo day. set an image for your perfect demo. if you want to have an impressive launch, you could plan it out and start connecting with the people you need in the journey. it is easier to stand out if you have a team and make an integrated work.
